Sarah Lynn Band

Every once and a while I get to do something really amazing for someone really amazing who does something really amazing. Can you tell I think she is super amazing?!

This shoot was really special because not only did we get to use a really amazing location for this photoshoot, but we got to do it for am AMAZING local musician. OK enough with the amazing. But really I am so proud of this beautiful gal.

If you live under a rock and don’t already know, Sarah Lynn Band is a local Kalamazoo country band. Sarah Herr is the lead singer and she is also a Kalamazoo hair stylist. I admire her for so many reasons, she is brave and has the most inspiring drive to reach the top! Sarah came to Valerie Ott Photography and I a few months ago with a really unique idea to go with the image she wants to portray for her band. It was really exciting for Valerie and I because we normally don’t shoot in an old tavern with guns and booze.

We knew the shoot with Sarah was going to be beautiful but we didn’t expect it to turn into complete outlaw badassery. Sarah is the whole package, she sings like an angel and shoots like Annie Oakley, and is beautiful as the sunset, not to mention she has a heart of gold.

To say we had fun would be an understatement. We loved everything about that shoot, the location and the props and the model.
