It’s a ginger thing!

Tell me, how many red heads do you know? I personally know a few, but none like my Reaghan girl. I have to say there really is a secret world that redheads live in. I think I would trade my multicolored hair for Reaghans red any day!

I thought I would share a few things I have learned from my ruby haired lovelies over the past few years.  Do you know that red head humans are among the most rare and unique of our kind?  Approximately 2% of our world wide population is red haired, and the majority of that population resides in Europe. That makes me feel super lucky to have Reaghan as one of Valerie Ott Photography’s bee models.

Did you also know that Queen Elizabeth I of England was a redhead?  Because of this during that era red hair became the most fashionable trend in hair color. I have to say I don’t think that it has changed from then, as most hair color manufacturers will say that the most sought after color is some shade of red.

The rarest of red heads posses blue eyes. This fact is so exciting to me because I have always been infatuated with the eyes of any person. The eyes are the windows to someones soul. No matter how a person may be feeling on the outside the eyes show what the person is feeling on the inside. The eyes are also my favorite part of any makeup routine. I always look forward to the eyes. Reaghan has these beautiful blue eyes and whether or not they change with her emotions in these photographs they are blue! Piercing blue!

I have been fortunate to have Reaghan as a model a few times and I found that using soft mauve and soft browns to contour her eyes real made them pop. I enjoyed using Morphe Cosmetics 35P palette on her the most! And to finish her look I used a Demi lash from Ardell lashes and a nice medium dark matte Lip in shade Androgyny from Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour lip collection.
